My work is made of thrown stoneware pieces which are then freely manipulated, some with added incised marks applied to the soft clay, revealing a subtle and tactile quality to the work.Over time my fascination with glazes has lead me to explore and produce a new range of monochromatic warm black, white and rust glazes obtained in the reduction kiln. The forms i choose to make are more minimal whilst keeping the spontaneous process of throwing alive. Each piece reflects on a forest of vessels bridging a gap between sculpture and function giving them a sense of energy and poetry thus exploiting the hypnotic potential of making playfull and repetitive forms.
